Born and raised on a lake in Vermont’s Green Mountains, I have called Carbondale and the Western Colorado landscape home for twenty-five years. My passion lies in landscape as a place of healing and wellness, a perspective I bring to every project, from private residences to destination hot springs. The interplay of water and land has always shaped how I experience landscape.
I began my career as a landscape architect in 2006 alongside Dave Carpenter at DHM Design, growing into the role of principal and developing a deep understanding of the profession and the people I work with. I value the lasting relationships I build with clients and the opportunity to create landscapes that respond to their setting and the people who inhabit them.
Over the years, I have found a particular connection to hot springs and wellness environments, bringing my experience, creativity, and love of landscape to create places of restoration, belonging, and renewal. My background in architectural studies, art, and landscape architecture continues to inform how I approach each project.
I am thrilled to be part of Carpenter Studio, where design is an expression woven into everything we do—a studio that values creativity, craftsmanship, and creating places with meaning.
Outside of work, I spend Wednesday evenings at the workbench as a jewelry metalsmith. I enjoy yoga, running and Nordic skiing, while home life centers around my husband, son, and a shared love of sports and the outdoors.
